12 Week Ultrasound

First Post!

Hi Everyone! Lots of people I know (especially those with new babies) seem to be starting blogs to keep family and friends updated about the newest family member, and I thought this might be a good idea since many of you are far away. So, this will mostly be a blog dedicated to baby Ellicott who is due to arrive May 9th.

Today Mike and I finished assembling her room and we are very pleased with how it all turned out! I think it ended up being more of a room that Mike and I will enjoy spending time in rather than a "baby" room, but I don't think she will mind one bit! Here's some photos of our progress so far...



The picture frames above the bookshelf are not filled yet because they're going to have black and white pictures of the baby so that will have to wait a few months until she arrives! The pictures above the dresser will be her footrpint and handprint, but again, will have to wait a little while.

After setting up all the furniture I felt like I had to do some more organizing and put all her clothes in the drawers. Boy, did I grossly overestimate the amount of clothing an infant needs! This kid has about ten times the amount of clothes I do and that's just for her first 6 months! This is partially due to my "obsession" of buying baby clothes and some very nice hand-me-downs from my friend Rachael that he daughter Sophia has outgrown. I can safely say that this kid will be well dressed!

I'm sure we'll have plenty more baby news to pass on before her arrival so I'll try to update when I can!
